  • Sunset

  • Twilight

  • Darkness

Most people know that sunset is the time when the sun goes down. But did you know that the sun doesn't actually set? Instead, Earth rotates into darkness, giving us the illusion that the sun is setting. So what causes sunset?

Well, it's a combination of things. The Earth's atmosphere scatters sunlight in every direction, but blue and violet light are scattered more than other colors. This is why the sky is usually blue during the daytime. As the sun gets lower in the sky, the atmosphere becomes thicker and more dense.

This scattering of sunlight happens to a greater extent, and we see red and orange light more than blue and violet light. That's why sunset is usually a beautiful red or orange color. So next time you see sunset, remember that you're actually seeing Earth rotate into darkness!

White Bird and all the details!

{

Every day, I walk my dog along the riverfront in White Bird City. The city was built along the Cannonball River in the 1920s and 1930s by the J.P. Morgan banking dynasty as a getaway for the wealthy. It offers beautiful views of the river and is surrounded by lush forests.

White Bird City is located in the southeast corner of Idaho, just northwest of the city of Boise. The city has a total population of just over 1900 and an area of nine square miles. It is the county seat of Ada County and the economic center of the nearby Silver Valley.

The city is located in the humid subtropical climate zone, and experiences a moderate amount of snowfall during winter. The city is also home to the Boise State University football team.

Idaho is the largest and most rural state in the United States. It is bordered by Oregon to the north, Wyoming to the east, Nevada to the south, and Arizona to the west. The states with the smallest populations are Rhode Island and Connecticut, with just over 100,000 people each. Idaho has eight of the fifty states in the country, making it the only state in the country with more than one state in its name.

Idaho's capital and largest city is Boise. It is home to over 200,000 people and is the cultural and economic hub of the state. Other major cities in the state include Pocatello, Ketchum, and Twin Falls.

The state's economy is rooted in agriculture, mining, and energy. Idaho is the No. 2 potato-producer in the United States and the No. 3 producer of wheat, cattle, and hay. The state has significant coal, gold, silver, and uranium deposits. Idaho is also a leading producer of dairy products and has a growing medicalarijuana industry.

Idaho's primary tourist industry is skiing in the nearby mountains. The state is also home to many lakes and forests, which make it a popular location for hunting and fishing.

What time does it get dark?

As the sun sets, the sky slowly grows dark. For many people, this is a time to relax and wind down for the day. But have you ever wondered exactly when it gets dark? The answer may surprise you.

Did you know that darkness actually begins long before the sun sets? As the sun gets lower in the sky, its light has to travel through more atmosphere. This filters out some of the blue light, making the sun look redder. At the same time, shadows get longer and darker. So by the time the sun finally dips below the horizon, darkness has already begun to fall.

Of course, not all places on Earth experience darkness at the same time. Near the equator, the sun sets and rises almost directly overhead. This means that there is less of a difference between daytime and nighttime. Closer to the poles, however, the sun stays low in the sky for much of the year. This leads to longer periods of darkness during wintertime.
