Waymart is a city in Wayne County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,596 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Wayne County. Waymart is located at 40°5′39″N 76°10′1″W.

Waymart is located at the junction of Pennsylvania Route 3 and Pennsylvania Route 214. It is about northeast of Harrisburg and about southwest of Williamsport. Waymart lies in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. The nearest state capital is Harrisburg, about to the southwest. The nearest metropolitan area is the Pittsburgh region, about to the northeast. Waymart's population was 1,596 at the 2010 census.

Waymart is in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. The Susquehanna River forms the eastern border of Waymart. The Allegheny River forms the western border of Waymart. The population density was 1,267 people per square mile. There were 734 housing units at an average density of 428 per square mile. The racial makeup of the city was 97.7% White, 0.3% African American, 0.2% Native American, 0.5% Asian, 0.1% from other races, and 1.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.5% of the population.

There were 555 households out of which 38.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.5% were married couples living together, 10.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.5% were non-families. 25.7% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.53 and the average family size was 3.04.

In the city, the population was spread out with 30.5% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 30.8% from 25 to 44, 21.7% from 45 to 64, and 10.2% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females, there were 97.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.1 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $40,795, and the median income for a family was $49,545. Males had a median income of $36,545 versus $25,083 for females.
