History: Watson City is named for U.S. Army Major Archibald C. Watson, who was granted 160 acres in 1877 and established a trade post there. The town grew in the late 1800s when settlers arrived to mine coal and cotton.

This filters out some of the blue light, making the sun look redder. At the same time, shadows get longer and darker.
