Topsham is located at the northwestern tip of Maine in the United States. The city is part of the Portland-South Portland-Biddeford metropolitan area. Topsham is about north of Portland, south of South Portland and west of Biddeford. The city has a population of about 2,500, and is the smallest municipality by population in the Portland metropolitan area. Topsham is also the most northerly city in Maine and is located just north of the Canada–US border.
