Tingley, Texas is a city located in Dallas County, Texas. The population was 10,584 at the 2010 census. Tingley is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington metropolitanplex.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , of which is land and , or 1.91%, is water.

As of the census of 2000, there were 9,585 people, 3,648 households, and 2,583 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,498.1 people per square mile (586.5/km²). There were 4,032 housing units at an average density of 680.9 per square mile (258.5/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 94.92% White, 1.17% African American, 0.37% Native American, 2.15% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.65% from other races, and 1.99% from two or more races. 2.39% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.

There were 3,648 households out of which 46.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.7% were married couples living together, 6.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 18.1% were non-families. 15.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.95 and the average family size was 3.36.
