Summit Argo is a city located in southeastern Oregon, just off Interstate 86. It is located in the extreme southeastern corner of the state, near the Nevada state line.

Summit Argo is located at the base of the Oregon Cascades, at an elevation of about 4,000 feet. The city occupies a narrow band of land on the eastern side of the Cascade Range, between the Mount Jefferson Wilderness to the east and the Mount Hood National Forest to the west.

Summit Argo is a city of about 2,000 residents. It is served by the Summit Argo Airport, which has a single runway and is open only to private planes.

Summit Argo is located near the only significant line of commerce between Oregon and Nevada, and it lies at the junction of two major Interstate highways: I-86 and I-80. It is also on the route of U.S. Route 26, which links Oregon's coastal cities with the Nevada capital of Carson City.

Summit Argo experiences a Mediterranean climate, meaning that the local weather is markedly different from the weather in the rest of Oregon. In winter, the temperatures often range from the low 40s to the low 60s, while in summer the highs can reach into the 80s. The city is often shrouded in cloud cover, which gives it a slightly dreary appearance.
