Rindge is a city located in Merrimack County, New Hampshire, in the United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 11,397. It is the county seat of Merrimack County. The city is also the home of Rindge-Levin Theological School, Rindge Memorial Library, and Rindge Opera House.

Rindge is situated in the north-central part of New Hampshire, at the junction of the Connecticut and Merrimack rivers. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 4.7 square miles (12.1 km2), of which, 4.4 square miles (11.8 km2) is land and 0.2 square mile (0.5 km2) is water.

Rindge has a Humid continental climate, abbreviated "Dfb" on climate maps. Winters are bitterly cold with lows often dipping below 0 degrees Fahrenheit, but June through September bring some reasonable highs in the 70s and occasional day in the 80s. In December through February, the coldest temperatures of the year can sometimes settle in the upper 30s.

The city is also located in a Tornado Alley and averages over 30" of snow annually.

Rindge was first settled in 1769 as part of the town of Livermore. The town was renamed to Rindge in 1783 in honor of Elias Levin Rindge, the first president of Dartmouth College. The town grew rapidly and in 1800 had a population of 1,280. Rindge became the county seat of Merrimack County in 1836.

The Rindge Historic District, which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, encompasses much of the central area of the city. The district includes buildings that are mainly from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, and includes examples of Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman styles. The district also includes the Rindge Memorial Library, which was built in 1931, and the Rindge Opera House, which was built in 1898 and is one of the oldest operas in the state.

As of the census of 2010, there were 11,397 people, 4,926 households, and 3,127 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,669.4 people per square mile (651.6/km²). There were 5,006 housing units at an average density of 666.2 per square mile (257.2/km²).
