Pilot Point is a city located in Harris County, Texas, United States. It is part of the Houston metropolitan area. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 9,591.

Pilot Point is located at 29°51′N 95°13′W, about south of Downtown Houston and about northeast of Austin. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of , all land.

Pilot Point is intersected by Interstate 10 to the north and east, U.S. Highway 59 to the south and west, and Farm to Market Road 604 to the west and south. Interstate 69 and state highways 6, 10, and 11 run through the city.

As of the census of 2000, there were 10,593 people, 4,974 households, and 3,439 families residing in the city. The population density was 1,453.4 people per square mile (561.9/km²). There were 5,088 housing units at an average density of 653.2 per square mile (252.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 77.11% White, 10.95% African American, 0.24% Native American, 0.88% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 6.84% from other races, and 2.27% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 17.35% of the population.

There were 4,974 households out of which 30.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 52.5% were married couples living together, 11.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.9% were non-families. 24.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.58 and the average family size was 3.04.

In the city, the population was spread out with 24.3% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 29.8% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 14.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females, there were 95.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 91.6 males.
