Ozone Park City is located in the eastern segment of the New York City metropolitan area, lying within Nassau and Suffolk Counties, on Long Island. The population of the city was 47,312 at the 2010 Census. The total population of the city, including the villages of Hempstead and Melville, was close to 70,000.

Founded in 1892, Ozone Park City features many large parks and greenspaces, as well as a mix of residential and commercial areas. The city is bordered to the south by the western edge of The Hamptons, to the west by Roosevelt Field, to the north by the town of Hempstead and to the east by the village of Melville.
