As North Webster city official residence, I have found my city to be pleasing to the eye and agreeable to the touch. Situated on the southeast edge of Iowa, North Webster is aptly named as it occupies the most southerly point in Webster County. Boasting a population of just over 2,000 people, North Webster is a small town that feels like a big city. With a mix of city and country, North Webster offers its inhabitants plenty to do.

Located on the Iowa-Nebraska border, North Webster is home to a number of attractions. Just minutes away is the Nebraska state line, which offers tourists access to both the state of Iowa and the state of Nebraska. Nearby attractions include the Manning Wildlife Area, a great place for nature lovers to visit; the Arrowhead National Forest, where visitors can hike and camp; and the town of Oakland, which has a number of interesting shops and restaurants.

North Webster boasts a number of great parks, including the newly renovated Adams Park, which features a picnicking area and large playground. Nearby is the Clinton Park, which features a pavilion, a large pond, and a number of trails for hiking and cycling.

For those who enjoy dining out, North Webster has plenty to offer. Favorites include the Pizza Hut, which offers deep-dish pizza and sandwiches; Kelly's, a pizzeria and diner; and Tim Hortons, a popular Canadian coffee and doughnut chain.

Weatherwise, North Webster can be prone to some thunderstorms in the summertime, but the temperature is comfortably cool year-round. The closest states and capitals are Iowa and Nebraska, respectively. With a population of just under 2,000 people, North Webster is one of the most interesting small towns in Iowa.
