North Manchester is a city located in the central part of the state of Kentucky, in the United States. At the 2010 census, its population was 18,701. The city is noted for its tobacco industry. North Manchester is part of the Cincinnati-NKY-Northern Kentucky metropolitan area.North Manchester is in Boone County, northeast of the county seat of Richmond. The city is bordered to the northeast by the city of Florence and to the southeast by the city of Bowling Green; to the southwest by the city of Leitchfield; and to the west by a small portion of the city of Manchester. The city of Lexington is about 20 miles to the northeast, the city of Cincinnati is about 35 miles to the southeast, the state capital of Frankfort is about 55 miles to the southwest, and the city of Covington is about 25 miles to the west. North Manchester has a humid subtropical climate, typical of the Southern United States. The city has four distinct seasons, with hot and humid summers, mild winters with significant snowfall, springtime, and fall. The average temperatures in the city range from a low of 24 in January to a high of 83 in July.

North Manchester is the county seat of Boone County, Kentucky, the principal city of the North Manchester-Florence Combined Statistical Area, and the principal city of the North Manchester Micropolitan Statistical Area.
