Mount Hope is a city located in Erie County, New York, United States, approximately north-northwest of Buffalo. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 24,274. The city is the seat of the town of Mount Hope and is surrounded by the towns of Clarence and Penfield.

The city is the former home of the now-defunct Mount Hope Leprechauns and is the site of the former Mount Hope Correctional Facility.

Located on the eastern border of the state, the city is bordered by the Pennsylvania state line to the east, the Ontario border to the north, and the Genesee River to the west.
