Mooseheart, located in the northeast corner of the state of Oregon, is home to just over 2,217 people. The city is bordered by the city of Pendleton to the west, the city of Burns to the south, the city of Talent to the east, and the city of Grants Pass to the north.

Mooseheart is located at 41[degrees]41[minutes]N 122[degrees]27[ minutes]W. According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.02 square miles, all of it land.

As of the census of 2010, there were 2,217 people, 890 households, and 611 families residing in the city. The population density was 715.7 people per square mile (276.1/km²). There were 957 housing units at an average density of 305.5 per square mile (116.8/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.7% White, 0.4% African American, 0.3% Native American, 0.8% Asian, 0.1% from other races, and 1.5% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.8% of the population.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2,100 people, 827 households, and 606 families residing in the city. The population density was 736.5 people per square mile (291.5/km²). There were 892 housing units at an average density of 307.1 per square mile (118.6/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.06% White, 0.16% African American, and 0.83% Native American.

Mooseheart experiences a moderate Mediterranean climate, with dry, mild winters and hot, dry summers. The average annual temperature is 44.5[degrees] Fahrenheit. The average annual rainfall is 12.5 inches.
