Micaville city is located in Northern California, in the Oakland metropolitan area. Micaville covers a total area of 2.4 square miles, of which 2.1 square miles is land and 99.5 square miles is water. As of the 2010 census, its population was 38,269. It is the thirteenth-most populous city in California and the thirty-fourth-most populous city in the United States. It is home to the Pruneyard Shopping Center and the Macy's at The Village at Mission Bay. The Pruneyard is anchored by Safeway and has a large Eastern European groceries store, a bank, and many other stores. There is also a Target and a Best Buy.

Micaville gets its name from the Vineyard of Micaville, which was once a large and fertile olive orchard. In the early 1940s, developers bought the land and began developing it into a suburb. Micaville was incorporated in 1959. The city's main thoroughfares are Broadway and California Avenue.

Micaville has a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild and wet winters. The highest temperature recorded in the city was 106 degrees Fahrenheit, on September 15, 2003, and the lowest temperature recorded was 29 degrees Fahrenheit, on December 21, 1916.
