Kent's Hill, located in the Hudson Valley region of New York, is the largest city in Putnam County and the twelfth largest city in New York State. The city sits on the banks of the Hudson River, at the foot of the Palisades. The landscape is dotted with farms and small villages and the city is bisected by the NY-217 freeway, which leads northeast to Putnam County and southwest to Westchester County. The city's historic core lies in two neighborhoods, the Hill and the Village, both of which are located on higher ground than the surrounding neighborhoods.
