Gray Court is a city located in central Delaware in the United States of America. It is the county seat of New Castle County. As of the 2010 census, the population of the city was 18,057. Gray Court is situated in the Delaware Valley region of the Philadelphia metropolitan area. It is approximately southwest of downtown Philadelphia and northwest of Wilmington, Delaware.

Gray Court is located at 38°6′14″N 75°33′45″W at an elevation of 216 feet (66 m) above sea level. Neighboring cities and towns include Newark, DE to the north, Wilmington, DE to the east, Middletown, DE to the south, and Chester, PA to the west.

The city is served by U.S. Route 13, which forms a partial border of the city, and U.S. Route 322, which runs north-south through the eastern side of the city. Delaware Route 2 passes through the northern edge of the city, and Pennsylvania Route 141 runs through the western side. I-95 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike are just to the northeast and northwest of the city, respectively. Gray Court is served by the Wilmington/Newark Regional Airport, located about 10 miles to the southwest of the city.

Gray Court has a humid subtropical climate, with hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. The average temperature in Gray Court is 47.5°F (8°C), and the average annual rainfall is 32.5 inches (810 mm).

Gray Court was founded in 1751 by William Trent and named for James Gray, 3rd Earl of Kent. The city was incorporated in 1773.

The city is home to the New Castle County Historical Society, which operates the Earl Gregg House and Museum, and the Gray Court Inn, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Gray Court is also the home of Delaware's largest and most successful McPherson Cellular Telephone manufacturing plant which employs over 1,000 people. The company opened the Gray Court plant in November, 1988.

The culture of Gray Court is influenced by that of Philadelphia. Sports teams include the Gray Court Knights (junior/senior high school lacrosse), the Delaware Blue Hose (college baseball), and the Wilmington Hammerheads (USL Minor League Soccer).
