Grampian is the fourth largest city in Scotland and the largest city in the north of the country. Located in the Grampian region of Scotland, Grampian is approximately 230 km from Edinburgh and just northeast of the city of Aberdeen.

The city is bordered by the Scottish Borders to the south, the River Dee to the southwest, the Moray Firth to the west, and the Highland borders to the north and northeast. This leads to longer periods of darkness during wintertime.
