{Deal Island, located in the southeastern portion of the US state of Maryland, is a census-designated place and former city on the western shore of Deal Island.
Deal Island is located at 38°56′0″N 76°39′0″W / 38.9544 degrees N 76.6544 degrees W / 38.9544; -76.6544 (38.9544, -76.6544).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 1.0 square miles (2.6 km²), all of it land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 693 people, 258 households, and 186 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 104.5 inhabitants per square mile (40.5/km²). There were 283 housing units at an average density of 41.3 per square mile (15.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 99.1% White, 0.2% African American, and 0.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.4% of the population.
There were 258 households of which 51.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 80.8% were married couples living together, 4.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 13.9% were non-families. 10.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.45 and the average family size was 3.92.
In the CDP, the population was spread out with 36.8% under the age of 19, 5.3% from 19 to 24, 41.2% from 25 to 44, 17.7% from 45 to 64, and 4.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 33 years. For every 100 females, there were 112.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 116.4 males.
