Settled in the late 1880s, Courtenay is a small city with a population of just over 32,000 people. Courtenay experiences a temperate climate with average temperatures ranging from 10-19 degrees Celsius. The most common rainfall is around 1,500 millimeters annually. The city is renowned for its mild weather, excellent beaches and lovely neighborhoods.
