The fairgrounds also features a stadium, a grandstand, camping facilities, and a wide variety of food establishments. The city also has a variety of shops and restaurants. Cortaro is also home to the Valencia County Sheriff's Office, the Valencia County jail, and the Valencia County health department. The closest states are New Mexico, Arizona, and Durango, Colorado.
