{Located in southeastern Ohio, Birdseye city is a census-designated place (CDP) and unincorporated community in Pickaway County, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 1,784.
The community is located near the confluence of the Scioto and Little Sandy Rivers, east of the city of Portsmouth. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of , all land.
As of the census of 2000, there were 1,996 people, 711 households, and 568 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,355.0 people per square mile (513.3/km²). There were 757 housing units at an average density of 542.2 per square mile (209.2/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.47% White, 0.44% African American, 0.14% Native American, 0.10% Asian, 0.06% from other races, and 0.91% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.90% of the population.
There were 711 households out of which 32.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.4% were married couples living together, 9.2% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.9% were non-families. 24.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.55 and the average family size was 3.00.
In the CDP, the population was spread out with 25.7% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 30.6% from 25 to 44, 21.2% from 45 to 64, and 16.8% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 38 years. For every 100 females, there were 105.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 102.7 males.
