Armour City is located in Ohio, just south of Cincinnati. The city is bordered by the towns of Thornville and Deerfield on the east, Deerfield Township on the south, and Reynoldsburg on the west.

Armour City has a total area of 7.07 square miles and a population of approximately 16,000. The city lies within the Miami Valley region of the Appalachian Mountains. The highest point within the city is 1,798 feet above sea level.

Columbus, Ohio is the closest city, about 8 miles to the northeast. Louisville, Kentucky is about 165 miles to the south and Cincinnati, Ohio is about 190 miles to the southwest.

As of the 2010 Census, Armour City had a population of 16,000. The majority of residents are white, with a population of 6,000 black residents. The city has a modest Hispanic population of about 500.

Armour City experiences a humid continental climate. The average temperature in January is 17 degrees and the average temperature in July is 86 degrees. Cloud cover is common throughout the year.

Armour is served by two area schools: Reynoldsburg Local District, which has approximately 4,000 students, and Deerfield Local District, which has approximately 3,000 students.
